We are Medicare Certified so we can help you with your Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement needs. The fall Medicare Annual Open Enrollment period begins October 15 and ends December 7. We can assist you in selecting and purchasing a Medicare Advantage plan or a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan (part D) or a standard Medicare Supplement during this enrollment period. After this annual open enrollment period ends then the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period is from January 1 through March 31. This allows people who are already covered by a Medicare Advantage Plan to change to a different Medicare Advantage plan or drop their Medicare Advantage Plan coverage and go back to regular Medicare coverage. Part D prescription drug coverage could also be purchased in this scenario if going back to regular Medicare. A Medicare Supplement could be purchased but will be subject to answering health questions and being approved for a regular Medicare Supplement if you are outside the “guarantee issue” period of when you first become eligible for Medicare coverage usually at age 65. When someone is first eligible to purchase any type of Medicare coverage during your “Initial Election Period” ordinarily when you turn age 65 your selected available coverage will be issued on a “guarantee issue” basis during the 3 months prior to and 3 months after your 65th birthday.
